(9) For use on galvanized steel strands: Extra high strength-siemens martin high strength-utility grade. All splices are preassembled in subsets and gritted. Left hand lay is standard.
(21) For use on: Acsr, Aluminum, Aluminum Alloy and Awac conductor. Right hand lay is standard. Helical conductor splices will hold 100% of the all aluminum and alloy conductors and between 50% and 75% of ACSR conductors.
Helically formed tee taps, manufactured for development of full tension of the conductors to which it is intended to fit. The design is to be such that two taps can be placed back-to-back and supported by the conductor to which they are attached.
Application:
To provide support and connection at 2-way or 4-way junctions for conductors of main feeders and lateral lines. Also, as a deadend support and connector for lateral conductors and mid span service drops.
